The Team

Together, Ian and Peter hope to make an Impact with their new blog/podcast combo and hope to show just how special sports are and how they can be tied into any event, in or out of the sports world. The two prospective media stars met at the University of Dayton when they broadcasted a Flyers basketball game during the impressive 2019-20 season.

Peter Burtnett

Peter Burtnett is a proud Ohioan born and bred. Being from Cleveland, Ohio, and going to high school in Columbus, sports have been at the forefront of Peter’s life from the very beginning. Now at the University of Dayton with plans to graduate in the winter of 2021, his love of sports has combined with his love of writing to prompt him to begin this blog page, Impact Sports. Burtnett hopes to one day cover a team as a sportswriter or become a broadcaster like Chris Fowler.

Since starting a student newspaper as his Senior Project in high school, Peter has learned a lot but still has a long way to go.

When he is not writing about sports, he is often playing sports video games or watching and talking about sports. Traveling and binge-watching the MCU are among his other hobbies outside of sports.
